Your Guide to West Hollywood Wedding Venues: Best Wedding Locations in Southern California
West Hollywood has its own kind of magic that makes it one of the BEST wedding locations in Southern California. And as a Southern California wedding photographer… I don’t say that lightly!! It’s vibrant, it’s full of life, and it’s a spot where celebrating love just makes sense. So if you’re looking for West Hollywood wedding venues that feel like a movie but somehow also totally real and natural… Yeah, you won’t want to miss these.
Why West Hollywood is One of Those Can’t-Miss Wedding Locations in Southern California
West Hollywood has so much character. It’s an iconic SoCal spot that has peak California vibes: lots of color, lots of sunshine, and the kind of good energy that’s impossible to fake. If the wedding vibe you’re going for is dancing to Chappell Roan until you can’t breathe while surrounded by bold colors and disco balls all night, West Hollywood is SO you.
If you’re looking for the best wedding locations in Southern California, don’t write off West Hollywood. It has a ton of gorgeous wedding venues and the kind of pace that makes weddings super fun!!
5 West Hollywood Wedding Venues That I’m OBSESSED With
Sunset Tower Hotel
Sunset Tower Hotel has you walking in saying, “Okay, this is the unique wedding venue of my DREAMS.” Seriously, it has everything you could wish for: gorg mountain views, bright colors, and iconic Old Hollywood decor. If that’s your dream (which, hi, I love you already), here’s what you need to know about planning your day here:
Max capacity is 500 guests, so that crazy, late-night party you’re wishing for?? It's yours!!
Since it’s a hotel, it can hold all your guests on-site. And that’s awesome, because you won’t want to deal with transportation chaos. Tell me I’m wrong.
Sunset Tower Hotel also offers all-inclusive packages, so wedding planning looks more like relaxing on the beach with your lover and less like stress-choosing tablecloth colors.
Greystone Mansion & Gardens
West Hollywood isn’t all dance party energy and fun wedding vibes, because it has Greystone Mansion, which is, like, THE venue for the couples who want luxury. This is one where you’ll still have a party, but it’ll be after what’s probably the most classy, elegant wedding ceremony you’ve ever seen. Here’s what you need to know about Greystone Mansion weddings:
It can hold up to 300 guests max, indoors or outdoors, so that you get your choice of setting up things exactly how you want them.
They require a day-of coordinator, and you must end the wedding by 9:00 pm (honestly, perfect for the couple who just wants to go home and sit in bed after their wedding).
You can book the Southern California wedding location up to 8 months in advance for dates mid-March through mid-November. I recommend booking as soon as you possibly can, because dates book up quickly!
The London West Hollywood
All I need to say for this one is that the rooftop setting here is literally everything to me.
Seriously, though, The London is a Southern California wedding location that feels ultra-modern, super sleek, and really, really special. If you want glam, this is the one that’s right up your alley. Here are all the details you need to know:
You can invite 300 guests and choose to seat them indoors or outdoors, but weather permitting, you won’t want to pass up an outdoor reception here. Trust me.
All-inclusive packages here are a must, because the food is insane, and I see allll the stress it takes off of my couples through the planning process.
If you just can’t give up on-site accommodations (I get you), don’t worry. They’re offered here, too. This place is actually the whole package.
The Houdini Estate
This is one that’s just asking for a super unique, colorful wedding. Committing to a theme is encouraged here because The Houdini Estate is just like, really cool and quirky. And if you need inspo for a wedding like that, you won’t want to miss this one. I honestly couldn’t tell you if my favorite part of this one is the polished gardens or the whimsical little courtyard, but I know that if you love Alice in Wonderland vibes… This one’s for you. Here’s what you need to know:
It can hold up to 1,200 guests. Yes, 1,200. So when you say a big party, this is your sign to do it. Full send.
This West Hollywood wedding venue holds tons of events, so you can host everything from your engagement party to your bridal shower to your wedding weekend here, and it’s something I’m obsessed with!!
The Houdini Estate offers on-site accommodations, as if it weren’t perfect enough already. A venue that knows the way to my heart.
This venue is currently closed for renovations, but once they’re back open, I suggest reaching out to book as quickly as possible!!
Lombardi House
Lombardi House is one of those West Hollywood wedding venues that’s a blank slate for you to make it whatever you want, and those are forever some of my favorites!! This one is where East Coast vibes meet Old Hollywood energy, and, yeah, it’s as gorgeous as whatever you’re picturing. Here’s what you need to know if you’re LOVING this one:
Max capacity here is 300, and the space holds that many really well!! It’s the kind of party where it’s full of excitement but still pretty laidback.
They offer on-site accommodations for a few people, which always makes things flow super smoothly. Chaos? We don’t know her.
There are so many options in this space, so no matter your style, it’ll hold it. Trust me.
Ross and Laura’s Wedding at The London West Hollywood
Ross and Laura chose The London as their wedding location in Southern California, and it could NOT have fit them better. The ceremony felt super secluded but still had the view of the Hollywood Hills behind them (a detail I’m obsessed with), and their reception brought that quintessential West Hollywood feel with good music, high energy, and a setup that looked like it walked itself in straight from a wedding magazine. And, I mean, it’s SO easy to see how much fun everyone had on the dance floor!!
Another thing I love so much about The London is that photos here feel easy. Ross, Laura, and I snuck away from cocktail hour to get portraits on the roof, and these seriously live rent-free in my brain. They felt (and definitely looked) like they were on top of the world, and these smiles… Are you kidding?? I’m obsessed. Forever.
If you’re sold on West Hollywood as your Southern California wedding location… Yeah. Same. Here’s a vendor team that I’ll recommend for the rest of my life because of the way they brought Ross and Laura’s vision to life:

Florist: Floraltique
Rentals: Town & Country Rentals
