I will literally take any excuse to fly up to San Francisco, it’s one of my favorite cities, and I’m always down for a weekend of fog, good food, and hanging with awesome humans like Devin and Carter. Even though I’m based in OC, I hop on a plane for my clients all the time, and this session? So worth it. We skipped the stiff poses and the perfect Pinterest vibes and went full-on “let’s just have a fun date night in the city” energy. No pressure, no styling stress, just real love, real connection, and lots of laughter in the streets of SF.

Ferry Rides and Skyline Views

We kicked things off in true Bay Area style: on the Tiburon Ferry! Devin and Carter often spend their date nights exploring the water, so it was the perfect place to start. Watching the San Francisco skyline fade into the distance as we pulled away from the city was such a sweet moment!

The ferry was full of cozy spots for photos, from the open-air deck with views of the city to little nooks where they could just sit and enjoy the view and ride. Once we docked in Tiburon, it somehow got even better (like, how?!). Tiburon is one of those Bay Area gems that feels like a charming small town tucked right into the water’s edge. I let Devin and Carter do their thing, just strolling around like it was any other date night, and that’s when the magic kicked in. No overthinking, no posing, just the two of them being completely themselves. That’s my favorite kind of session.

They walked hand-in-hand down Tiburon’s colorful streets, stopped to grab drinks at a cozy bar, and even played a quick game of pool (which made for some of my favorite candid shots!).
